Vote for your Game of the Year 2009
It’s that time of year
again – the time when your grandmother starts knitting you a new Christmas present, when Harry starts plastering the office in tinsel and when we turn to you with one very important question.
What was, in your opinion, the best game of this year?
There are a lot of contenders for the title and there’s even more when you consider that we’ve grouped the previous two categories together and are asking you to choose a game regardless of platform - though the list does only detail games that have had a PC release. We're still a PC focused site, after all!
This year we’re giving away prizes to three completely random voters too – we’ve got two copies of Colin McRae’s DiRT 2 on PC to give away to two voters, while a third voter can have themselves a free game of their choice from GoodOldGames as well as a copy of Colin McRae's DiRT 2 and Battleforge, yay!
To make things a bit easier we’ve listed all the major releases, high-scorers and staff favourites that we've reviewed in 2009 below. That means all you need to do is
choose your top three games from below and follow the obvious instructions. In order to vote you'll need to sign up to the
bit-tech and Custom PC newsletter, but you can easily unsubscribe from that if you decide you don't want to hear from us every week.
Voting will close at 9AM GMT, Monday 21st December, which gives you just over a week to reward your favourite developer with the much coveted Game of the Year award. Shortly after voting closes we’ll reveal the top ten games along with a bit of discussion, so keep your eyes glued to both the front page and
the gaming podcast feed.
Oh, and if you have something specific to say or thing we've missed a game off then let us know your thoughts in
the forums!
