i like the idea of after market cases for the 360, but im sorry, if it destroys my rrod warranty.... without some significant evidence that this case prevents the probleme entirely, im keeping it in its boilersuit for the time being.
i also agree, the elite looks better... with so many grilles on that thing, the dust intake is gonna be immense!

From what Doug says, it's the mobo warping thanks to the X-clamps on the heatsink when it gets too hot. Replace those and it works fine, keep it cool, and it shouldn't warp. :)
I could only find one water block/kit for the 360... the Innovatek X-Matic. Any chance you guys could do some benchmarks... Stock 360 In Original Case vs. Stock 360 Cooling in Lian-Li vs. Water cooled in Lian-Li ?
From the videos of the new dash update I have seen, it appears you will be able to copy the game to the HDD, you only need to have the game disc in for verification then will load from the HDD
im sorry but you shouldnt have to buy a new case for a console to make it more reliable. if people just want the xbox to looks "cool" then fair enough but if someone was to buy this for the sole purpose of avoiding the RROD , its wrong and customers shouldnt have to deal with this :/

You don't need to, I've done just fine for the last 2 and a bit years.
What would be interesting is to use the console a couple of hours a night, every night, in a typical bedroom/lounge setting. And then after a couple of weeks, see how much dust has been sucked into it and destroyed the potential cooling benefits.

BTW Bit's been mentioned on Digg and all the usual Tech sites round about now.
Seems like everyone's waiting for those temps and install pics.
He is doing them! Harry is bringing in another 360 to test against and I've got a nice green cathode we can spice it up with (I know, a bit too simple but I've not got anything else).
Somebody should make a hardware emulator that lets you change out the dvd drive while still letting the bios think its the old drive. While thier at it make one for the hdd too. Or am i just in fantasy land again?
Probably would ban you from xbox live if such a thing existed. jerks

Could you imagine the modding potential?
Looking at the bottom of the case, it seems they maybe another optical flap? or is that sealed?

OT: I can't wait for this - I might finally grab myself a 360 and get that badboy in a pimped out watercooled XB01. :D

http://www.kustompcs.co.uk/acatalog/info_2643.html => these guys are in the UK and seem to carry it. Not cheap though :(

That is so amazingly, incredibly, astoundingly BORING.
All that waiting, and build up, and this is the result.
Sheesh, wake me up when someone makes an interesting case.
Urgh!! I hate it when companies do this, it's complete BS.
