The lower shelf of the Test Table Easy is also where you’ll find a mounting point for up to a triple 120mm-fan radiator – it’s cut into the side panelling of the bench’s top piece. Dimastech claims support for all radiators currently on the market, and the thick plating of the bench is more than up to the task of supporting a heavy radiator, either within the bench’s frame, or hanging from the outside.

With the PSU and drive bays below, the top of the bench is where the motherboard and cooling hardware is placed, screwed into 25mm nickel standoffs. Almost every motherboard standard is supported, from mini-ITX to the slowly emerging XL-ATX format used for motherboards such as Gigabyte’s GA-X58A-UD9. Sadly, the super-enormous EVGA Classified SR-2 didn’t fit, but this was the only exception.

The Test Table Easy includes an assortment of cooling add-ons that allow you to position 120mm fans in a variety of configurations around your hardware via a wide array of thumb screw mounts . This is a very handy inclusion, as test bench systems, despite being open to the air, often suffer from a lack of direct airflow over passively cooled components such as the VRMs or the Southbridge.

Dimastech includes three 120mm fan mounts as standard; one each for top-down graphics card and memory cooling, and a general-purpose vertical mount that can be used for the CPU’s VRM heatsinks. Additional mounts, including a positional FlexFan mount, can be purchased separately, as can extras such as a neoprene under-motherboard mat for use when using liquid nitrogen.

Like the fan mounts, the included seven-slot expansion card bracket is screwed down via thumbscrews and thumbnuts. This provides a secure support for multiple graphics cards without restricting access or limiting the size of cards use.

Conclusion

Test benches aren’t for everyone – in fact, their appeal is limited to those who need constant access to the guts of a PC. This includes competitive overclockers and people who perform a lot of troubleshooting. For those of us who chop and change our hardware setups, test benches are invaluable, and the Dimastech Bench/Test Table Easy v2.5 is one of the most capable we’ve seen.

For a benchmarker or professional overclocker’s testing platform, the Test Table Easy is hard to beat, and considering the quality of the materials and construction, the £100 price tag is fair too. You can even pay (a lot) extra and get it in a whole variety of custom colours if you buy direct from the manufacturer for £140.
