Lian Li PC-V1020: Mac Pro style returns - in red!
Manufacturer: Lian Li
The super-sexy and slightly curvaceous Mac Pro
cheese grater style is back! And we have to say, in red with black innards it looks particularly pimp. There are also silver and black options for the external coating too, but these are only paired with silver internals.

The V1020 is a normal-sized tower case with two 140mm fans in the front, a 120mm fan in the rear and another 140mm exhaust fan in the roof. The intakes come with dust filters and both the front and roof fans are rubber mounted and simply unclip without the need for a screwdriver. It's a very simple and neat way to clean the filters and swap the fans, but it has also compromised any standard-configuration water-cooling support - modding is required.

The drive rack in the front has space for seven 3.5in hard disks- all rubber mounted - and four SSDs, and the whole cage is removable; unfortunately it can't be split half-half. Above this there's support for two optical drives and a 3.5in external slot, for whatever reason those are used for these days... a fan controller perhaps? Unfortunately we didn't see any fan control built in, so it maybe a necessary investment.

There are eight expansion slots for a standard ATX motherboard, and the case comes fitted with USB 3 cables for
four connectors in the front panel too.

The motherboard tray is removable for those who demand it, although there's still a huge hole behind the CPU socket to remove large coolers with backplates should you not want to take it all out.

Just like its bigger brother, the
PC-V2120, this case also comes on wheels with rubber strips on them to prevent it from scratching surfaces and going walkies on a slight inclines.
