Steam & Current by Tomasz Krawczyk (awadon)
Project Log: Here
Steampunk is still a niche modding style, but Tomasz Krawczyk has certainly been bitten by the Steampunk bug and his project, called Steam and Current, was featured in Custom PC's Readers' Drives in Issue 94.
It's yet another fascinating take on this often bizarre approach to modding. Tomasz's efforts included the use of aged wood, brass and copper fittings, valves and, as is popular with many projects, a centrepiece in the form of a fluorescent display tube. With laptop components, including the screen used for the project, we think it also makes for a nifty low-power computer that's certainly more interesting than any ready-made all-in-one PCs we've seen.
