Project log: Worklog: Here
Work started nearly a year ago on GwassGween and while the early renders of the project looked quite ambitious, given his previous projects which include
Bloo Balls, we knew then that forum user Cheapskate's project was going to be getting plenty of attention.
It was evident early on that plenty of acrylic was going to go into the build and sure enough the dozens of pieces soon started to materialise in a big way.
The skill and patience involved is pretty impressive, although not quite as impressive as this fantastic-looking housing for a Laing DDC pump below. Made up of several layers of spaced acrylic, it's one of the best pump housings we've seen. If the rest of the project looks as good as this, we're in for a real treat.
The case is also coming along nicely with large sections of acrylic appearing including this one with a large radiator mounted in it. Cheapskate is also making his own reservoir and the end caps for this are below on the right - in true scratch built style, literally everything is being made.
This is definitely one to watch and if you'd like to vote for GwassGween, head over to our forums
