STORMTRUPER

Worklog: Here

There's usually at least a couple of Star Wars-related projects every year (R2D2 comes to mind for 2009) and hurv is hot on the heels of this cult with STORMTRUPER. Amazingly it started life as a ghastly beige tower but thankfully it wasn't long before it was modded beyond recognition.

Having cut sections of the case apart, hurv proceeded to measure up for the project's showpiece - a large mould of a stormtrooper helmet. This is set to hide a front 140mm intake fan.

The stormtrooper mould made its first appearance in the photo above and has since been coated in filler and putty to smooth out the edges and harden the front.

The side window looks great too with a stormtrooper also appearing here courtesy of a Dremel and a jigsaw. Below we can see the case as it stood when we were doing the rounds for some MOTM nominees - early stages still but this is looking like a great mod in the making.
