AMD Bulldozer 8-Core Tribute by TheGreatSatan
Project Log: Here
AMD's
Bulldozer CPU architecture is a hot topic at the moment, but forum user TheGreatSatan is clearly very taken with the name. His latest mod is a tribute to the CPU's namesake. Yep, there are tracks and everything.
In true digger-style, the Cooler Master HAF case was stripped and sprayed bright yellow, before the case's black plastic details were returned to their rightful homes.
Above we get a close-up shot of the paint job - we don't see too many yellow cases - and we also get our first view of the tracks, which were scavenged from a toy digger.
Above we can see the makings of the shovel section, and TheGreatSatan has also added some realistic-looking details to the tracks.
A Hummer five-channel fan controller was the next [art to be disassembled, and also received a coat of bright-yellow paint. The mod is coming along nicely in the latest photos in the project log, and TheGreatSatan has even been sponsored by AMD with a shiny new Bulldozer CPU winging its way to him.
If you're a fan of diggers, Bulldozer or just think TheGreatSatan's project is great, head over to the
forum to vote for it.
