The brains behind the popular Metal Gear Solid games, Hideo Kojima, has expressed concern that the high standards that Sony are expecting for forthcoming PS3 titles will be unattainable, and that the XBOX360 will give developers an easier ride:

Speaking in an online interview, Kojima-san said Xbox 360 was "a little bit more down to earth...so people maybe can join easily to start creating on the 360," while on the Nintendo Revolution front the DS connectivity and downloadable back catalogue give him "the impression that the developers could create games on less budget".

He uses some odd analogies, but is he right? Is the PS3 going to be too difficult to develop on, given the standards demanded? Is XBOX a better bet for developers, or is it just that 'lax-er' standards makes life easier for them? What are your views?
