Bioshock is, as regular readers will be aware, a bit of an obsession for me. I think about it daily and have officially commemorated the day that Tim and I went to do a
multi-format, hands-on preview of it as the happiest day of my life.
Imagine my fury then when I found out that Xbox Live, which I don't have, had just got a demo of the game.
Weighing in at 1.35 GB, the demo isn't exactly massive, but you may want to set the download going now if you want to play it this evening, which you definitely should.
The fact that an Xbox 360 demo is available has obviously annoyed some PC fans who were hoping for a non-console demo. Irrational Games (which has recently changed names to 2K Boston) is assuring fans that the PC demo will be available later this month and that more details will be available tomorrow on the
official website, but there are no details available beyond that.
The game will be shipping in just under two weeks though, so there may be very little point for consumers bothering with a PC demo unless it arrives within the next few days.
In the mean time, the new
Bioshock launch trailer has been flittering around on the internet since its debut on American TV last night. If you haven't seen it yet then you can check it out below.
