Grangemouth Petrochemical Refinery at night.
Congratulations to forum member
Brett Dunsmore, who achieved first place in March's Photo of the Month competition, themed "Night" with his entry "Evening Glow". Congratulations also to forum member
Fladlish who claims second place with his entry "The end of time" and third place goes to forum member
OleJ with his entry "Night at the Museum".
Yet again, we have hooked up with
OCZ Technology to give some awesome prizes away to the winners.
The full set of results are as follows:
The
bit-tech digital art forum and the
Photo of the Month site are the main hubs for our photography competition. It is held monthly and open to anyone that wants to enter as long as you're a member of our forums (it's free to register)! The picture can be any photograph of your interpretation of that month's theme, and there is no restriction on what camera you can use. Entries have to be submitted by the 25th of the month, giving you plenty of time to get snapping. The winners are decided by the voting of others who have also entered.
Since winning, Brett was charged with nominating the theme for April and he's chosen:
"The Golden Hour". In his own words:
""The Golden Hour" Sunset/Sunrise/Dusk/Dawn, a time at which the light is that perfect golden colour. That should ensure everyone gets out and about in the nice spring weather."
Good luck to everyone for April and if you have any questions or comments, drop them
over here.
:):)
Congrats with the win. It was definitely deserved.
Very interesting point distribution this month. It was really close. Might as well have been 4 third placings.
New theme is great and open. Good choice. Am looking forward to spring mornings.
BTW You got my 2 pics mixed up I think. The 3rd place shot isn't the one in the article. Though I like the one above best ;)
Hence why apparently the National Geographic will only accept pics taken at these 2 times. :)
Exactly, for Landscapes at least. Its been said they won't even look at an image if it was not taken during these times of day, not that I believe that but it just goes to show how important it is.
ewww :)
I live in Utah, and I was just thinking I might pop down to Lake Powell to take some pictures before it gets unbearably hot down there. I might also stop by Capital Reef and Bryce parks, they're beautiful places.
GOGOGOGOGOGOGO. I will close it later and get the results out :) I will try to get time to contact the winners tonight but I'm off to an Ironman screening in London too :o
*Jealous* :(
