You probably don't need us to tell you that the release for
Halo 3 and
Halo Wars, the console-RTS spin-off game, is going to be one of the most anticipated events in the history of the Xbox 360, but you probably would like us to deliver the double-whammy of
Halo news we have today. So, here it is.
Firstly, the
Halo 3 soundtrack is confirmed to see a form of commercial release. Whether it'll be on CD or in digital download form is yet to be confirmed, but in
a recent chat, Brian Jarrard and Marty O'Donnell confirmed that there will definitely be some form of
Halo 3 soundtrack available.
Marty O'Donnell is hard at work as we speak working on the music for the latest
Halo title, a series which nobody can deny used some beautifully orchestrated music to great effect, and when quizzed about the release of the soundtrack said simply that
"It'll happen. Sure."
The other piece of exciting
Halo news is regarding the RTS spin-off,
Halo Wars, which is scheduled for release in 2008 on Xbox 360.
The developers at Ensemble Studios had a little chat with
Joystiq and were quick to assure console gamers that the game will definitely see a demo made available for the full product was released.
Halo Wars, which is to be set in the 27 Years War which precedes the first
Halo game, will be a Xbox 360 exclusive RTS - a genre which has undeniable control problems on a console. The demo of the game is meant to allay any fears which console gamers may have about how the game may play on a 360 controller.

Halo games available? Drop
