Ubisoft and Nadeo have announced a release date for upcoming racing sequel, Trackmania 2: Canyon. The publisher has also revealed plans for an imminent multiplayer beta.
Trackmania 2: Canyon will be released on 14 September 2011 at a cost of £19.99, says the official announcement.
The multiplayer beta meanwhile will kick off on 17 August 2011, which coincides with Ubisoft's plans to exhibit the game to the public at GamesCom in Cologne, Germany.
Trackmania fans unable to attend the show will be able to win themselves a place in the multiplayer beta by pre-purchasing the game from Ubisoft's proprietary store after 17 August.
We had a look at Trackmania 2: Canyon recently and, while we were impressed by the commitment to
that old Trackmania charm, we weren't sure the game did enough that was new. Check out our
