Electronic Arts and developer 38 Studios have announced a release date for upcoming RPG Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning at EA's press conference ahead of GamesCom 2011.
Speaking on stage, Kingdoms' lead designer Ken Rolston - who has previously worked on titles such as Morrowind - confirmed that the game will be released on 10 February 2012.
We haven't yet seen Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning in any detail ourselves, but we plan to get a better look at the game over the course of the show.
All we do know is that it is an open-world RPG with a combat engine similar to the original The Witcher, where action is determined by the timing of button presses.
We'll bring you further impressions of the game when we have them, but until then you can let us know your thoughts in
the forums.
