You can now go and grab the demo of PC shooter Prey from your favourite file-grabbing sources.

The demo, which hit this morning, has five single player levels and two multiplayer levels. That's a fairly hefty amount, and should allow you to get a feel for the game and work out whether you want to pick it up for yourself when the full release comes.

That is expected to be on July 14, with 3DRealms suggesting that the game is on course to go 'gold' very soon, meaning that it heads off to manufacturing.

The game uses the Doom 3 engine, and features space based gunslinging with some added Native Amerian mojo. We played the game at E3, and we'll confess we weren't too impressed. Here's hoping that the demo is a little better.

Go and grab it, then let us know your thoughts on the graphics and gameplay over in the forums.
