CES 2009: During the Sony keynote this morning, Sony Computer Entertainment honcho Kaz Hirai announced that Electronic Arts will support the PlayStation Home beta.

The support will start with the EA Sports Complex, which is currently in development and is expected to launch this Spring.

EA has worked closely with SCE to ensure that the EA Sports Complex space within PlayStation Home will be a great experience for fans of EA Sports games while being accessible to both casual and hardcore gamers alike.

Gamers will be able to play new EA Sports multiplayer games, meet and interact with other gamers, view leaderboards (daily, weekly, monthly, annual), as well as watch trailers and other content from other EA Sports titles.

Electronic Arts said in a separate statement that it is currently working with SCE on further label support in PlayStation Home and will announce further intentions at a later date.
