Nvidia has announced a new holiday season bundle for its GeForce GPUs, offering $100 off Shield and three free games when you buy a GTX 770, GTX 780 or GTX Titan.
Taking on AMD's impressive Gaming Evolved game bundle, this holiday bundle will include Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag, Splinter Cell: Blacklist and Batman Arkham Origins as well as a token for $100 off the company's portable Android games console, Shield.
Buyers of GTX 760 and GTX 660 will also get some benefits with Assassin's Creed, Splinter Cell and a $50 discount on Shield included.
The offer will be made available from 28 October. Nvidia hasn't stated how long the offer will last for.
We're also yet to get word from Nvidia as to whether the offer will be available outside of the US, though given Shield is only available in that country, we suspect it may not be offered elsewhere. That is unless Nvidia is about to announce more widespread availability.
Also launching on this date will be a new mode for Shield called Console Mode. This will allow the console to be used as a streaming device to play your PC games on your TV. You simply plug in an HDMI cable to the console then you can use the controller to enter, for instance, Steam Big Picture mode and fire up Battlefield 3 or such like. This is an extension of the device's existing ability to play your PC games on the device's own screen, but taking it to its next logical level.
