A new company called Hex Gear has joined the enthusiast case market, focusing on water-cooling -friendly micro-ATX cases and launching the R40.
Founded by two bit-tech modders - p0pe and Editor22, aka Hans Peder Sahl and Nate George, the duo have said they were
'simply not happy with the range of PC chassis available so decided to bring something new, sleek and exciting to market.
It has been an incredible journey taking this concept of a beautifully over engineered mix of steel and aluminium and releasing it on the world!'
The case is available in black and white, and offers six 120mm mount mounts with three of these in the roof and two in the bottom, with of course options for water-cooling too.
In addition, the case also sports internal mounting plates that can be used to mount popular pumps and reservoirs.
The case is slated to retail for less than £200 and will be available from the
Hex Gear store. In the mean time you can see a project log of an R40 in action in our forum
