London, 13th January 2010 - The new Acer Aspire 532 marks the beginning of a
new era for netbooks. With the next-generation processor for notebooks, up
to 10 hours of battery life, integrated Wi-Fi(r), LED backlit display and
optional 3G, the Acer Aspire One 532 matches great performance with an
ultra-compact design, offering you all the power you need when you need it.

Core of the Aspire One 532 is the new Intel Atom(tm) N450 platform that
integrates graphics and memory controller in a single chip. This means lower
power consumption for longer lasting batteries, up to 30% improvement in
graphic performance and up to 15% enhancement in processor and system
performance.

Email, chat, blog or surf as much as you want: the Aspire One 532 makes
light work of Internet multitasking and you only need a single charge to get
up to 10 hours of cable-free power to stay connected and get the most while
you're on the go. This netbook is the perfect companion for the real
globetrotter down to the smallest detail. The innovative AC adapter has a
wall mount design and is lighter than typical adapters, plus saves 1/3
charging time and comes with interchangeable AC converters. No matter where
you are, you can always have the right plug.

Just about the size of a small folder, yet the Aspire One 532 offers all the
power you need in a thin and light design. Less than 25 mm thick, it weighs
just about 1 kg and the battery pack beautifully fits into the chassis
further enhancing the streamlined profile. The highly responsive 93%
standard-size keyboard, with bigger keys for more comfortable typing is
complemented by the wider multi-gesture touchpad with an anti-slip
micro-bead texture offering more precise control and a pleasant feel. This
touchpad is perfect for scrolling documents, rotating images, zooming and
browsing, all with fingertip convenience.

The Aspire One 532 is equipped with the new Intel(r) Atom(tm) N450
processor, Mobile Intel(r) NM10 Express Chipset and can integrate up to 2 GB
of DDR2 memory[1]. Notwithstanding its compact size, the Aspire One 532
houses a large internal hard disk with up to 250 GB of capacity and a
built-in multi-in-one card reader for more convenient storage options and
file sharing. This highly efficient netbook is Energy Star(r) v5.0 qualified
and compliant with RoHS and WEEE EU directives, regulating the use and
disposal of hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment. It
also features LED backlight, making it mercury free.

With its sober, sophisticated style, the Aspire One 532 is an ideal travel
companion, combining lightness and a slim profile to offer the possibility
of communicating without time and space limits. The 28 cm (10.1") Acer
CrystalBrite(tm) WSVGA display with a resolution of 1024x600 pixel and 16:9
format is ideal for web chatting, web browsing and video streaming. The
display is LED backlit and ensures 22.2% power savings compared with other
netbook displays.

The top side of the screen frame contains a digital microphone and the Acer
CrystalEye webcam, optimised for poorly lit environments: a tiny window
allowing you to stay in contact with friends, family and colleagues at all
times, using video streaming, video chat and video conferences.

Small and powerful, the Aspire One 532 takes you where you want to go. It is
offered with a choice of WiFi connection for easy access to available
wireless networks and Fast Ethernet for wired connection. To maximise your
mobile experience, it can be specified with integrated 3G module and
Bluetooth(r). The result is always the same: you can connect immediately and
stay online as long as you want.
