Companies: #asus

With Christmas just around the corner, Santa has sent out some rather unusual early helpers this year. Kevin and Sue Lang, ASUS’ friendly and very cuddly pandas, will be visiting London this weekend in search of Bamboo and to let you, Discover ASUS.

With a photographer and film crew running behind them, they will be asking for your opinion of the new ASUS Bamboo laptop. So, if you encounter a pair of pandas whilst shopping or visiting the capital this weekend, pop over and say hello and you could be in with a chance of winning an ASUS laptop (or two!).

Kevin has decided that he would like to have his photo taken as many times as he can whilst visiting London. He’ll then post all the happy panda snaps on his facebook page. If you have your photo taken, come and be friends with Kevin and then tag yourself on Facebook at www.facebook.com/KevinandSueLoveBamboo and one lucky person will win an ASUS Bamboo laptop*.

Sue, on the other hand, is a big video fan and wants a fun record of her London visit. She has decided that she wants to earn some ASUS brownie points and is going to show off not only the Bamboo laptops but also ASUS’ SonicMaster series of laptops. Everyone who is captured on film during the course of the day will be in with the chance of winning an N53 laptop. The winner will be the person whose video gets the most views. All videos will be uploaded to techinstyle.tv/category/video/events/discover-asus so pop over and see Sue chatting with you and remember to share with friends and family*.

And if you want to become a friend of Kevin’s or Sue’s and even get some tips on just where they might be appearing in Central London this weekend, ask them very nicely if they would like to be friends with you: www.facebook.com/KevinLovesBamboo and

ASUS U33 Bamboo Series:

The ASUS U33 Bamboo Series is an inspiration and a step towards green living. Bamboo is not only the preferred food of Kevin and Sue (a different bamboo to the one that ASUS use!) but is also an environmentally friendly and a sustainable material. And, as the panda is celebrated in Chinese culture (well, maybe not our Kevin and Sue..), bamboo offers a blend of ancient and modern, and is revered for its extraordinary properties. This all informs ASUS’ creation of a highly distinctive laptop that combines a stunning bamboo exterior, modern technologies and which is as much for the green consumer as it is for the performance-demanding style icons.

Super Hybrid Engine and NVIDIA Optimus use intelligent monitoring to keep energy levels efficient and reduce CO2 emissions, whilst USB 3.0 delivers the fastest transfer speeds. With the new Intel® Core™ i5 processor the U33 Bamboo notebook delivers superior performance with up to 10 hours battery life.

The U33 Bamboo notebook is available from a range of retailers and e-tailers including Micro Anvika, Selfridges, PCWorld.co.uk, Ebuyer.com and Amazon.co.uk at a price of £849 and £899 inc VAT SRP.

ASUS SonicMaster Series:

The ASUS N Series SonicMaster range include the 15.6” N53JN and the 17.3” N73JN. Both models feature Intel® Core™ processors, NVIDIA GeForce graphics with Optimus technology and SonicMaster audio.
