Mod of the Month February 2013

We spotted some epic builds in our forum in February. There are scratchbuilds made of wood, acrylic and metal, air-cooled PCs, water-cooled PCs and some absolutely crazy-looking projects too. We've hand-picked some of our favourites this month for you to vote on in our regular Mod of the Month competition, so take a look at the projects on the next few pages and vote for your favourites.

Our Modding forum is the place for tips, tricks, guides and planning if you're thinking about trying your hand at PC modding, while the Project Logs forum is where the real magic happens. Don't forget our main Modding section either, where you'll find guides and articles written by the makers of some of the best projects we've seen.

Before we get to this month's projects, don't forget bit-tech's Case Mod Index and Scratch Build Index. These are databases of hundreds of completed projects which allow you to see what has been done with particular case makes and models (mods), or with specific materials or motherboard sizes (scratchbuilds). They're fantastic tools that can be helpful if you need some design inspiration or want to see how others have solved that problem you're stuck on.

If you've never modded before, we've got the perfect competition for you to try - our Raspberry Pi competition only requires basic modding skills and small amounts of material so even those on a budget can have a go.

We're proud to have the legendary Mnpctech sponsoring Mod of the Month. The Mnpctech guys are regulars on our forums and, in addition to being avid modders themselves with some awesome projects to their names, the Mnpctech online store is also well worth a visit from every modder.
