Flux by Femke Toele

Project Log: Here
A word from Femke :

I present to you, FLUX. A tiny PC packed with ghetto watercooling, goldplating, butt-power and of course the NUC from Intel! A lot of different techniques have been used in this build. Many of them are derived from Goldsmitting, as I am a goldsmith myself. The aluminium casing has been hand spun on a lathe. On the inside most of the mounting plates have either been laser cut or 3D printed. Yet everything took a lot of handcrafting to make it fit. The water-cooling system is made from a salvaged aio watercooler and custom blocks and radiator.

It all works in a true ghetto-style so there are no warranties! The eye-catching part of the build is the “FLUX” top plate. Made from icy blue Fluor Edge Plexiglas and an aluminium frame. The plexiglas has been thermally formed using butt-power and an oven. Inside the case you see the gold-plated NUC logo, as the icing on the cake! I’m really pleased with the final result. To be honest, doing watercooling the “ghetto” way is fun, but I wouldn’t recommend it! I love the Icy Blue Fluor Edge Plexiglas top too!
