Richard's decided that he's going to be remodelling sections of the case to make way for an extensive watercooling setup. The plan is for the rear to hold a multi-layer reservoir and distribution panel which then links to the rest of the components in the build. He'll be incorporating the Thermaltake Premium logo into the reservoir panel itself so that it stands out once the fluid is flowing through
The reservoir design itself is quite ambitious, with the channels overlapping one another. This is a dual, double-sided job, so no mean feat, especially considering Richard has only just recently upgraded to a new machine.
For now, he's been planning the cutting work and ensuring that the hardware is all functional and ready for inserting into the final design. As is often the case with machining heavy projects, there's an awful lot going on under the hood that perhaps isn't as visible, so expect an awful lot of exciting stuff once the carbide hits the plastic for the main pieces.
Initial cutting testing has proven exciting, with Richard crafting some cable combs that will help keep the interior neat and tidy, the current plans are to have the cables pass through the blocks themselves.
It goes without saying be sure to check out Richard's Project Log for more info on the build!
