Hellgate: Lian-Li

Fozzy is working on a tribute to the new Hellgate: London game, from Flagship studios. Like Darkened, he's chosen the Lian Li V1000, although it's the 1200 variant - in his own words, "I chose the 1200 over the 1000 for some extreme cooling that you will see take shape in a few weeks. It will run dual loops with some pretty hefty cooling power."
First up, as with many mods, is a window! The top section is the main case window, and the bottom section is a vent for the radiator. Fozzy has used some clear acrylic to edge the windows with, for a nice frosty effect. "It both accents the window and covers up the cut in the panel," he points out.
Cunningly using a DIY BBQ mesh, the vent for the triple rad comes together. "I also put some mesh behind the lower section to allow air in for the radiator. The mesh was also pounded out so it would be flush with the plexi ring. It's hard to see in the pictures but it looks trick up close."
Every WC setup needs a good reservoir, and this one has two. These mini-reservoirs are going to be mounted vertically, allowing for a rather funky effect on the side of the case.
Here, you can see the result of that. The mesh and plexi, along with some blue LED backlighting, makes this look rather snazzy.
The machine is coming together nicely - the 'Hellgate' theme is being nicely worked out by the fiery red lighting that glows menacingly inside the chassis. You can see a secondary radiator on top of the machine. The case looks fairly busy - and there's not even any hardware in it yet!
There are some really nice photos of Fozzy's Hellgate mod coming together in the
worklog, so go take a closer look.
