
We replaced the front fans of the PC65 with quieter, blue LED versions from
Akasa, who also kindly provided a host of other modding gear for this project.

Lastly, we fitted in an MX25 Matrix Orbital VFD display, for that extra level of cool, but more on that later.

The project was starting to come together...

... quite nicely.

We didn't have time to photograph the whole next section of modding, which involved skinning the entire front panel of the case. You can check out the end results of this in the final pages, but you can see the intricate work of cutting out the air holes for the case!
