The Card

The reference PCB for the GTX 750 Ti is the same as that of the GTX 650. This should come as little surprise since the GM107 GPU is the architectural upgrade to the GK107 GPU of the GTX 650, though it does mean that the GTX 750 Ti lacks an SLI connector. SLI is not supported with this card.

At the rear of the PCB, you can see the empty solder points for the 6-pin power connector used on the GTX 650. While Nvidia says the GTX 750 Ti is already a very potent overclocker, this does leave us wondering whether board partners will choose to equip their cards with external connectors for improved overclocking potential and stability.


Alternatively, board partners may wish to make their cards even more discrete. The GTX 750 Ti is a tiny graphics card, and though it's cooler means it will still need two expansion slots, it's not hard to image single slot variants being made available.

The GTX 750 Ti has three video outputs – two dual link DVI connections (one DVI-D, one DVI-I) alongside a mini-HDMI port. The absence of a DisplayPort connector is significant in that it means this version of the card cannot be used with G-Sync. However, Nvidia expects plenty of board partners will be shipping SKUs with the required connection.


There's no shroud over the tiny aluminium heatsink and fan combo, so any hot air the card produces will be left circulating inside your chassis, though we don't expect this to be problematic in most cases. There is no cooling for the four 512MB SK Hynix memory chips and the 2+1 phase power circuitry is also left exposed near the rear I/O panel.
