Fancy being part of the development of Firefox 2? The Mozilla Foundation is allowing users to get their name embedded into the source code of the next version of Firefox, for which the beta is already out.

The whole thing is simple. Invite a friend to join the Firefox world and both of your names will be added to the Firefox friends wall. You've got two months to get your mates signing up!

This is another attempt by Mozilla to further boost Firefox numbers which have been steadily rising over the past year and a half. Here at bit-tech more than half of users visiting the site use Firefox. Mozilla is clearly hoping to leverage its fanatical fanbase to get more average joes using the browser.

Will you be signing up to this just to grab a bit of Firefox fame? Let us know over in the forums.
