Windows users will be waking up to a new world today - one in which IE6 is dead.
Internet Explorer 7 is now being pushed to Windows XP users as an automagic update. Anyone can go and download the broswer, but to install IE7 requires a geniune copy of WinXP, authenticated with Windows Genuine Advantage. Presumably, all the pirates will be sticking with Firefox.
The new browser adds tabbed browsing, better security, RSS integration and a revamped interface, as we explained in our
beta article.
The download is just under 15MB - go and try it for yourself, then let us know whether you prefer it to Firefox
over in the forums.
