The Register
has received word that Apple is to open 3 new stores in the UK, expanding its total UK stores to 9.
Staff recruitments have been made for the 3 areas but Apple has yet to officially announce the plans for the 3 stores. The Apple stores are to be located in shopping centres in Kingston (London), Manchester and Southampton. This will bring the total Apple stores to two in Manchester and three for London and we expect them to stock the usual range of Apple goods.
Although shoppers will be pleased to find an extra few stores to gawp at it looks as if Apple are forgetting the poor Scottish and Welsh. How about Cardiff or Edinburgh?
Will these stores help push Apple's market share further, or are they just fanboy's delight?
