Phone case
Price: $39.90 (base)
Rounding out the set, this is a belt-buckle phone case that is basically a really nice version of the crummy pouches you often get with new phones. Vaja make this in a few different sizes, accommodating everything from small D600-sized phones up to massive smartphones. You can also get leather 'skins' for some phones, such as the Motorola RAZR.
My phone of choice at the moment is a D600 from Samsung, and this fits perfectly into the little pouch. Having a belt clip will cost you a few extra dollars, but is probably worth it - I personally hate having to dig my phone out of my pocket all the time, so having it handy on the hip is pretty cool.
Some people do hate hip cases out of principle, so if you do, then this clearly isn't for you. If you've got a nice phone though, and don't like having it rustle around with your keys and lose change, a case like this could be cool. It's also useful just for chucking your phone in your bag on flights, since there's no point having it in your pocket.
Conclusions
Vaja kit is not cheap. Opinion here in the office has been markedly divided - some of our guys see it as poncy styling with very little practical purpose (especially given the outrageous cost), whilst others - myself included - see the Vaja clobber as gorgeously indulgent travel accessories that will add a little pleasure to the long haul lifestyle (or even the London commute). They might be a bit girly, they might even be a little metro-sexual - but if you're a fashion-aware techno geek, you'll find they sate a desire you probably didn't even realise you had. Recommended.
