Episode 7 of the CPC and bit-tech Podcast

Yay! It's time for another CustomPC and bit-tech gaming podcast, so you can all listen to us drone on about what games we've been playing lately and such.

Before you venture into the podcast proper though, which you can do at the bottom of the page, it's worth warning you that we recorded the podcast before lunch today - so Joe was in a bit of a grumpy mood and raged on pretty much every topic. In fact, things get pretty heated at one point, when Joe declares that The Beatles are a load of rubbish and is forced to withstand the combined wrath of Alex and Mark. Luckily, some well-placed trivia about the invention of commercial X-ray technology meant that the situation was quickly defused - phew!

Most of the podcast goes pretty well though and we cover a wide range of topics this week, from the launch of the recent OnLive beta to the controversies that have broken out over the Team Fortress 2 anti-cheat measures that Valve have recently rolled out. We also fill you in on the reality of working as a games tester, made relevant by Sony's newly announced reality TV show, 'The Tester'.

After that we have the usual Guess The Screenshot competition and we give away the prizes from the last competition. The screenshot we were describing last week was from the phenomenally creepy The Path, from Tale of Tales. Henry Hopcroft was the lucky winner, bagging himself a copy of surrealist indie brawler, Zeno Clash. If you want to stand a chance of winning your own copy then you'll have to listen closely and try and guess what screenshot we're describing this week.

Antony joins in on the gaming podcast for the first time too, filling us in on his recent trip to the Electronic Arts' headquarters and telling us what he thinks of Need for Speed: Shift, which is due out fairly soon.
