Valve has signed up more games to be digitally distributed over its Steam service.
You will surely know BloodRayne, the vampire-bitch slice-em-up. What you may not have heard of is Psychonauts, which is probably the best platform/puzzle game you have never played.
Psychonauts is just over a year old now, and is due to hit Steam at the beginning of October. It scored
rave reviews upon release but didn't sell as well as it probably should have done, as it was a bit of a kooky title.
Now you have no excuse - when it hits Steam, you should go and download it pronto, then prepare to lose a couple of days of your life to this masterpiece.
BloodRayne - well, if you like ogling at digital butts, it's probably worth the $10 asking price. Don't ask about the film though, eh?
It seems that Valve is doing a good job of tying up game developers and distributors looking to reach new audiences and really push digital distribution forward. What's also been surprising is Valve's ability to really keep piracy of Steam titles to a minimum - all-digital doesn't mean all-pirated, it seems.
Let us know what you think of Psychonauts, BloodRayne and Steam
over in the forums.
