Possibly the most controversial game ever? Well, it would seem as though Rockstar has bowed to some of the pressure being applied to their upcoming Playstation 2 title and decided to change the title. A Rockstar source has confirmed that the game will now be called 'Canis Canem Edit' - Latin for 'Dog Eat Dog'.

The move will hopefully please Jack Thompson, who was angry about the implications of the previous title. It should also mean that the game will be sold on Walmart shelves, the massive American supermarket threatened to not stock it if the title remained as 'Bully'.

There will be some who see this as Rockstar losing out to critics like Jack Thompson calling for a ban. However, in many ways Rockstar could be planning for the future. The unique title will make the game distinguishable from all others (the first game with a Latin language title?) and the three words can be easily abbreviated to CCE (GTA?).

I for one like the new name, which will hopefully pacify the critics whilst also offering up something cool and unique. Cogito ergo sum is what I say!

What's your opinions on the new title? Let us know in the forums.
