Napoleon Dynamite, the geeky anti-hero of the love-it-or-hate-it movie of the same name, will be busting his groove on to the Nintendo DS and PSP soon, for better or worse.
The game, to be developed by Crave Entertainment, will somehow tie in to the film, which followed the attempts of Napoleon to exist through a selection of small subplots along with his only friend, Pedro.
Unfortunately, the game isn't just likely to be a lame cash-in of the movie, but a lame and very late cash-in of the movie which was released in 2004.
Still, if people are going to get excited over one
three year old game then why not get excited over a three year old movie tie-in?
The film was a surprise hit at the Sundance Film Festival when it was released and won the Best Feature Film award it the American Comedy Arts Festival, launching lead actor, Jon Heder, into the big time.
So, after the atrocious
Spider-Man 3 has just hit the market can gamer's really stomach what is likely to be another awful movie tie-in game? At least they can rest assured it won't be rushed out the doors in time for the movie's release.
Are all games based on movie licenses doomed to be awful and how do you think Napoleon Dynamite will shape up on the DS and PSP? Let us know what you think
in the forums.
