The
rumoured Soul Calibur adventure game for the Nintendo Wii has now been officially confirmed.
Details are still thin on the ground at this point, but we know that what IGN Editor, Matt Cassamassina, hinted at in terms of the game now being a
"Crazy ass adventure" is definitely true.
The game will now feature all of the characters from the previous games, as well as some new ones, as they set off on
"a quest for ultimate power in order to save an empire from destruction". All in a day's work for, I guess.
That the game will be on the Wii is certainly interesting as the platform has yet to take on such a massively respected 3D fighting game. The potential for a fighting game on the Wii is unlimited though and fans of the series are already warming up as they prepare to fight with Bo-staves, swords, whips and massive unrealistically wobbly breasts.
A few pieces of high-quality concept art have made it out on to
the Internet, which suggest that the game will see players battling all types of monsters, from Egyptian mummies, to cycloptic, horned dragons.
