We’re just two weeks away from Naughty Dog’s fourth and final Uncharted game, and excitement is starting to mount. That is, unless you ordered with Amazon, who have provided several customers with their copies of the game today, two weeks early.
Uncharted 4 doesn’t launch officially until May 10th, although some customers already have already got their hands on with the product after Amazon has slipped up on the street date. It seems like they’re not the only one, either, with one fan claiming he picked up a copy yesterday (25th April) for £55.
"When I went to the counter to purchase the lens I saw behind the shop assistant that there was Uncharted 4 so as a try I said can I also get a copy of Uncharted 4," the customer, posting under the pseudonym Shabz told VideoGamer. "He just picked it up and rang it through the till. The game cost £55."
Shabz has so far managed to play through the first two chapters of the single-player campaign, mentioning that it is "so far running fine", but "may have a few frame drops but not so noticeable".
Perhaps he should wait for the day one patch.
Several other reports from US and German Amazon customers have come with screenshots of delivery notifications, with packages due to be delivered today. Bizarrely, the game was due to be released on the 26th April but was pushed back - it seems not everyone got the message, but does beg the question that if the game is already finished and with retailers, why the later release?
We’ll have a review nearer May 10th, when the game is actually out.
