Activision has just released a new
Call of Duty game - and we don't mean
the obvious one either. This is an iPhone game in fact, based on Treyarch's
World at War.
Dubbed an awkwardly long
Call of Duty: World at War: ZOMBIES, the new game is a fully 3D adaptation of
World at War's popular zombie Nazi mode which even has co-op support.
The 16MB download includes three control schemes that include tilt and thumbstick modes and support for up to four players at once over Wi-Fi or two players over Bluetooth.
The aim of the game is to fight off the zombie Nazis for as long as possible, trading points for new weapons and keeping doors heavily barricaded. There's currently only one map (Night of the Undead), but Activision is apparently going to release further maps through in-app purchases according
to early reports.
Call of Duty: World at War: ZOMBIES isn't the only stand-out iPhone game lately either - THQ Wireless has just released
Star Wars: Trench Run, which lets players recreate the climactic last moments of the Death Star in the original Star Wars film.
