There's a whole bunch of previews of Enemy Territory out on the net, following an embargo lift by the publishers, Activision. The full title of the game is now
Quake Wars: Enemy Territory.
The game is being developed by Splash Damage, who developed the mod for Wolfenstein, and continues the great legacy of Enemy Territory games. This time the development team is aiming wider and is pitching ET at fans of Battlefield 2. It's massively multiplayer, with maps going beyond the size and scope of DICE's classic. It's also going to be a full retail game, rather than an add-on for Quake 4.
This new version includes plenty of vehicles, as well as enhanced mechanics for class-specific supply drops. It looks pretty gorgeous too, with the Doom 3 engine apparently adapting well to vast outdoor expanses, rather than closeted indoor corridors.

We think it looks rather spangly, and we can't wait until we can get our hands on some code. In the meantime, why not join us discussing the game
