GoodOldGames.com, the online gaming store that specialises in old PC games, has announced that it is giving away two free games for Christmas to all users who have or create an account on the site.

GOG.com has proven a hit with PC gamers, offering classic and hard-to-find PC games in an online store akin to Valve's Steam. Where GOG.com has the edge though is that each game sold is guaranteed to run on all modern OS' thanks to some re-coding and DOS box emulation tweaks. The best thing about it though is that the games are cheap too, fitting into either $9.99 or $5.99 price bands.

Oh, and everything is DRM free and comes with a handful of extras too, such as soundtracks and wallpapers.

To help celebrate Christmas GOG.com is now giving away two free games to anyone who either already has, or who signs up for, a free account on the site.

The two games in question are Beyond a Steel Sky and Lure of The Temptress, both of which have been given up freely by Revolution Software for a few years now. By getting the games through GOG.com however you make sure they'll run on your system no matter what OS you run.

While Lure of the Temptress is a fantasy adventure that tells the story of a peasant who has to save his king from an evil sorceress, Beneath a Steel Sky is a science-fiction game about a dystopian future and comes from the artist behind the Watchmen comics.

Other classic games available at GOG.com include the old Fallout games and Arx Fatalis, so take a look over at the Good Old Games Catalogue and let us know what you think in the forums.
