With Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars set for release on the Nintendo DS before February next year, one of the major questions on the minds of many GTA fans is whether or not GTA will see a release on the Wii.

Rockstar, which has in the past showed no reluctance to release more mature titles on Nintendo's family console (such as Bully and Manhunt 2), gently hinted that it may be on the cards too in a recent comment to Kotaku.

"Without commenting specifically on whether GTA is coming to the Wii or not, I will say that Nintendo and Take-Two work very very well together," Take-Two CEO Ben Feder explained.

"Rockstar and Nintendo work very well together. We intend to continue to grow that relationship.

Feder went on to explain that Rockstar has invested a huge amount of time and effort into working with Nintendo and isn't exactly eager to see that investment wasted. Though Feder didn't exactly announce any new products during the conference call, there was apparently a feeling that he wasn't far off.

In the past Rockstar has been a company firmly focused at developing for the Xbox and PlayStation, but there has been a string of titles on other systems which certainly give the Rockstar/Nintendo alliance some precedence.

Would you like to see GTA Wii, or would you rather see a PC exclusive release? Stupid question, we know, but humour us in the forums.
