Listen up Hitmen. The episodic 2016 Hitman’s first “Elusive Target” is currently roaming the world of Hitman for the next 48 hours. Miss this window, die horribly or just balls it all up and he’ll be gone forever, completely un-murdered in the alternate universe that is your Hitman save game.

The Elusive Target system is one of the most intriguing parts of Hitman’s new episodic deal: these little bits of content are supposed to bridge the gap between the big episode releases and give you something a little more curated to have a go at when you’re bored of Escalation contracts.

Elusive Targets are hard mode, frankly. They don’t appear on your minimap, they won’t be highlighted in your instinct mode and you’ll have to do a little detective work to suss them out for yourself. These contracts can only be attempted once, so if you mess up the hit you’ll need a back-up plan to ensure you bag the target and get away clean.

Expect to see more Elusive Targets in the future but for the moment you’re just trying to take down Sergei Larin before 5pm Sunday. Do let us know how you get on, won’t you?
