After rumours Call of Duty would be doing that space thing next dropping recently, Activision’s titanic franchise has sprung more leaks than it’s nautical namesake. I’m comparing Call of Duty’s leaks to the boat Titanic. Just in case you weren’t sure, because it's not really its namesake but just a descriptor.
First, the suggestion that the next Call of Duty will be called Infinite Warfare. I’m excited to see how infinite they can make it, because when the single player campaign inevitably ends I’ll be able to joke about it’s finite nature in my review. Dumb name aside, the legacy edition of the game is rumoured, again with the rumours, to include a remastered version of the original Modern Warfare game.
The image, attached to this story and also below so you can look at it in my detail, popped up on reddit and shows a reservation card from US shop Target, while showing a November 4th release date, a title, some art and that confirmation of a remastered Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare.
There’s bound to be a lot of interest in a recreation of Infinity Ward’s classic shooter, it’s the one I remember being fondest of, and last year a petition for Infinity Ward to remaster Modern Warfare 2: Modern Harder managed over 200’000 signatures.
The Reddit user has since deleted their account. Activision has so far refused to comment on any rumours about the new game. Spoilsports.
