J Allard, the poster child for Microsoft's Xbox 360, has been talking to Brit gamers Eurogamer about the launch of the Xbox 360.

Allard gives some interesting insights. Perhaps one of the most surprising is that he expects Kameo to be one of the biggest launch hits for the 360 - likening it to Zelda. Xbox Live Arcade games will be priced between $10 and $20 - and that one of the biggest problems to overcome in the Arcade, and on Xbox Live Marketplace, has been the credit card requirement. Microsoft is working with retailers to solve these problems - rather hinting at a 'pre-pay' solution for buying online, rather like mobile pre-pay cards.

There are also some interesting PS3 comments. Here's a quick extract:

"Eurogamer: How long do you think you've got before the PlayStation 3 comes out?

J Allard: I don't know! I read what you guys write. I hear what Mr Kutaragi says, and I keep hearing Spring, Spring, Spring, Spring, Spring! I wouldn't have
believed Spring 06 based on everything else I've heard. It'll be interesting to see what their reaction is to our worldwide launch, and whether or not they follow suit.

I think Gerhard [Florin] was very eloquent last night in saying 'We're doing the right thing, we're doing the gutsy thing, and everybody else should have the same kind of thinking'. Hint hint! I think that was, in no small way, a hint to the other console manufacturers, so whether you're doing a handheld or you're doing a full console, do the same thing because it's killing publishers. They've got more at risk, they put more money into it, and if they can't capitalise on that on a worldwide level…. they're trying to design games worldwide, they're trying to do regional content and regional derivations on content and when they can't do it all on the same schedule it's a killer for them. So, it'll be interesting to see what they decide to do."
