Kanye West has announced he is making a video game to memorialise his mother, who died in 2007.
The game will centre around West's mother's journey through heaven.
Talking to New York radio station WWPR-FM about the project, West said the game is based on one of his singles, Only One, which is about a hypothetical conversation between West's daughter and mother.
'The idea is, it's my mother going through the gates of heaven and you have to bring her to the highest gates of heaven by holding her to the light,' said West, talking to WWPR.
The game has already been in development for six months.
West's mother, Donda West, passed away due to coronary heart disease that was aggravated during plastic surgery.
Kanye West is far from the first recording artist to show an interest in the video game industry, but it is rare for it to be a project with such a personal subject matter. West's project certainly sounds a bit more involved than tearing through the desert to hunt down a crystal skull.
A possible source of inspiration for this may have come from West's wife, Kim Kardashian, who also dipped her toe into the world of video games last year with the hugely successful, albeit much less personal, mobile title Kim Kardashian: Hollywood.
