This is still a rumour for now, though it is one that's been doing the rounds a fair bit, but Sony is said to be secretly working on a PSP version of the recently
relaunched LittleBigPlanet.
The rumour, which this time comes from
Electronic Gaming Monthly in the US, doesn't offer any true details on the game or how it might work, but it's still a mighty enticing offer.
"
The LBP universe will also continue to evolve next year with the release of the PSP version," says the report according to
Kotaku.
"
[We hear] it’s fantastically ambitious and will further flesh out the PS3 LBP experience."
While still miles away from an official announcement it does seem that Sony, who have adopted the Sackboy character as the current face of the PlayStation 3 and who have invested a lot of effort into
LittleBigPlanet, would be foolish not to explore the franchise further. We know Sony is certainly keen to provide more cross-functionality between the PSP and PS3, having spoken out on the topic recently.
Most interesting of all though is the reveal that
LBP developer Media Molecule is not going to be involved with the project, instead favouring other and currently unannounced projects.
