A whole raft of new screenshots from the upcoming Unreal Tournament 2007 game have appeared online.
The game, which is coded in the brand-spanking-new Unreal Engine 3, looks pretty splendiferous. The screens showcase a post-apocalyptic city which has some absolutely incredible detailing. The screens appear to be from a level that
bit-tech saw being played through at the Nvidia 7800 launch a couple of months ago by Epic Games head honcho Mark Rein.
The screenshots are available
right here. Some of the finishing touches on the artwork are astounding, and the use of parallax mapping to give texture to walls and buildings is obvious - and slick.
There is also some information about the game itself attached to the screenshots, and we're not sure that this information has previously been seen. The summary is that the spec list for the game appears to have been finalised, with 40 levels along with 45 playable characters. Gameplay-wise, the game will include seven game types (we suspect that old favourtes Domination and Assault will be in there) as well as 18 vehicles and 14 weapons.
Frankly, we can't wait to get our hands on this. UT07 will be coming next Spring for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC. While you're salivating at the prospect of playing this, why not drop by the
