Information for an upcoming DLC add-on for Deus Ex: Human Revolution has been uncovered by fans of the game, who have extracted a synopsis blurb and producer quote from the XML for the official site's RSS feed.

The information is thought to be part of a Deus Ex alternate reality game (ARG) which Eidos has been running since the launch of Deus Ex: Human Revolution and which revolved around the question 'What is the Missing Link?'

The Missing Link is, according to the accessed information, a new piece of DLC which will see Adam Jensen stripped of his augmentations and held captive aboard a freighter.

As he escapes, Jensen will rebuild his powers and explore a new environment filled with new characters, according to a report from SiliconEra.

'We are very excited for Deus Ex: Human Revolution fans to be able to complete Adam's journey in the game with The Missing Link DLC,' reads a supposed comment from producer David Anfossi.

'Gamers will be able to experience a vulnerable side of Adam like never before, which gives the overall game a whole new dimension. The Missing Link propels players into compelling gameplay, beginning with Adam being stripped of his use of augmentations, new, visually stunning environments and the continuation of Deus Ex: Human Revolution's conspiracy rich story.'
