The PC Gaming Alliance, a lobby group formed of companies with an investment in the PC games industry, has announced today that Logitech, Corsair and Arxan Technologies have all joined up as new members.

The PCGA also announced that Razer CEO Min-Liang Tan has been appointed as the new PC Gaming Alliance board director.

These members bring a wealth of experience and a rich diversity of products and services to the PCGA that will significantly enhance our existing membership base”, said PCGA president Randy Stude.

By joining our rapidly growing organization, they are demonstrating their support for expanding the PC Gaming industry and their commitment to improving the PC gaming experience."

There is so much synergy between Razer’s core DNA - an essence of pure commitment to improving the PC gaming experience with state-of-the-art peripherals - and this organization’s drive to establish high standards and quality guidelines for the evolving industry at large,” said Razer's Min-Liang Tan.

Both Razer and the PC Gaming Alliance are dedicated to addressing the needs of a maturing category and its largely sophisticated audience.

The PC Gaming Alliance has been a controversial figure ever since it was founded back at GDC 2008, mainly because it has accepted companies like SecuROM and Epic as members, though also because it's hard to find out what exactly the group has achieved.
