The Elder Scrolls Online beta runs until 17 March after which it will be closed until the full release date of 4 April on PC and Mac and June 2014 for PS4 and Xbox One.
The game is set in the same continent of Tamriel as Oblivion and Morrowind and will centre around the same RPG style of play. However, being an MMO it does have a different 'feel' to the epic single player games.
Initial previews of the game from last year found it a bit lacking but
Rick's recent preview in February talked of a great deal of improvements, saying
"The Elder Scrolls Online is still not exactly the game that many Elder Scrolls fans wanted. The MMO model exacerbates some of the Elder Scrolls' worst traits while curtailing its best. But the world of Tamriel remains extremely alluring and toward the end of our time with it its trajectory was definitely on the way up."
