Fed up with crossing endless wastelands and green prairies only to have to battle yet another clichéd orc, elf or dragon?
Then you'll be pleased to hear that the MMO,
World of Tanks, which has been in beta for the last nine months, has finally gone public today.
World of Tanks puts you in the commander's seat of a World War II-era armoured fighting vehicle, in which you'll have to fight for battlefield supremacy in 30-player battles. You can command light scout tanks, medium battle tanks, heavy sluggers, self-propelled artillery or sneaky tank destroyers.
Each type of vehicle has also its own strength and weaknesses, all of which feature accurate modelling based on their real-life counterparts.
To celebrate the release of the game we'll be published our exclusive interview with the developer of World of Tanks, Wargaming.net, later today.
Will you be playing World of Tanks? Did you take part in the beta testing? Let us know your thoughts in the
forums.
